Flickr Surfin'- Pull-Over

This is the photo that inspired me to start Flickr-surfing again. Sometimes you just have to sit back and admire what other people can see, and share their treasured memories. This is an absolutely gorgeous image, not just for the rays of golden light that I always am enraptured by for their ethereal, heavenly quality, but also for the deep blues and the white cloud that accompanies it.

Images like this, with their complex, perfect and undiscovered beauty make me feel as if something new is being revealed to the world, a new concept of beauty with a richness we cannot yet quite comprehend. It's so beautiful, I can hardly believe I'm seeing it, yet at the same time I know from deep inside that such amazement, such wonder, is what revealed, transcendent Reality is all about.

Wouldn't the darkness and gold be enough?... Yet in this natural formation there is so much more going on and the greatest thing is that it is all for some practical purpose of maintaining the Earth's atmosphere as well. This is the kind of thing this is the kind of thing that really makes me realise... that there are more things on heaven and the Earth than those dreamt of in my philosophy.

Thank you Brandon, for capturing such a wonderful occasion, when the heavens really do seem close to the Earth.
