It was great to see the kids enjoying themselves so much. A whole younger generation is learning to appreciate nature around us.

Another trip brought me to Tama Zoo, right at the height of the cherry blossoms.

All in all, Tama Zoo is simply a wonderful place just to walk around- some call it the best zoo they have ever been to. This was taken pretty near closing time.

(I switched to my heavy 80-200mm AF ED f/2.8 lens with a 1.4x teleconverter here, to blur the backgrounds more and better capture the delicate colours of late afternoon. I found the subtle colours of the pelicans surprisingly beautiful).
