Here's a wonderfully festive image of one of the small things of life- ice crystals. It's always amazed me the way they make these complex, fern-like shapes when they are only made of water. What is water, really, that it can make such beautiful forms all on it's own?
Not seeing any snow and ice near me here in London, this brought a little of a 'White X'mas' into my life.
